Flamenco Theme COMPOSITIONS

The music featured online at Flamenco Café was written by Daniel Turner specifically for his solo performances on the electric bass guitar. Often the music is intentionally progression and rhythm-free, giving creative musicians the opportunity to interpret these melodic-harmonic Flamenco Themes while playing solo on a bass, or on any instrument — for that matter.

Famous “jazz songs” — including compositions like Birdland, Round Midnight, Autumn Leaves, Body And Soul, My Favorite Things and So What (as covered by many jazz artists through the years) — have inspired the creation of the “Recordings” at Flamenco Café.

Each season, a pair of complementary recordings — based on a single theme — are publish online, along with musical notation in tablature format that can be DOWNLOADED here in PDF format.
